In a post just a bit below this one I mentioned going into Edge Studio to take an evalution course in VO.

I've been out of the VO business for a few years and I wanted to see what was new and get an evaluation of my skills.

I have a fairly average voice...good enough to have kept me in radio for over ten years but nothing that would knock your socks off.

The day I went to the evaluation my throat was feeling a little tight and scratchy and I wasn't expecting much to come of the whole thing.

Then I took my turn to record my demo script and went in to the booth where they had an AKG 451. When I was finished and went back to the control room to listen, I was absolutely blown away! This mike made my tense and irritated vocal cords sound like smooth velvet!!

With all the talk below about Neumanns and Sennheisers, I was wondering if anyone has any experience and an opinion on this microphone?

It's a shotgun, much like the Sennheiser MKH60.<P ID="signature">______________
