AL and Gulf Coast airchecks

I found this webpage a few hours ago looking for an aircheck of the former WLPR (96.1) in Mobile for a friend of mine. The page has hundreds of airchecks...most are small snippets of 15-45 seconds, but some are longer. These were made over a 43 year period. For the south AL area (in addition to the aircheck of WLPR from '72), I found one of WABF-FM, which is now WZEW, as well as the second life of WRJM "The Rose" in Geneva, at 93.7 Other stations along the Gulf Coast area are listed, including WWOM (98.5), WBYU (95.7) and WQUE (93.3, pre-CHR days as "The Beautiful Island")...all recorded in the early 70's. For Birmingham, there is an aircheck of WDJC made in the early 70's, WENN at 107.7 as well as a short one of WCRT-FM, which is now WMJJ. Airchecks from other states are represented as well. Fascinating stuff...I have already wasted an hour or two going through some of them, lol.

Here's the link to the webpage. Have fun! :)

Thanks for posting. Found some of my old airchecks on there.

The site has a recording of WABB-FM's programming from 1973.

Here is a link to a list of links to other recordings of radio broadcasts from the Mobile, Alabama radio market.

Here is a better link to the list I mentioned in my previous message since I cannot edit the link in that message.
