Al D'Amato Joins WABC

Former NY Senator Al D'Amato is joining WABC as a "contributor:"

I guess that means he will be a regular guest, not a host. BTW, Al is 86 years old. Around the same age as the audience.

Senator D’Amato is already a regular contributor to the M-F 5 PM shoutfest known as “Cats & Cosby” on WABC. Perhaps this announcement suggests he’ll pop up as a guest elsewhere on the station.

Yeah, he's a sweet guy...
I grew up in Nassau County, Town of Hempstead, where D'Amato got his start politically, first as a town supervisor (like a city council member) and eventually as Presiding Supervisor (the top elected official in the town). The mother of a close friend spent many years working in the Presiding Supervisor's office, and even back then D'Amato was known to be a sleeze-bag, over 50 years ago. He took that reputation with him to the US Senate. So why would anyone think he's be any different to his wife, or anyone else? I'm sure he'll make a scintillating talk show guest.
