Al Franken on Sundance/Live Audience

I enjoy the condensed version of Al's show on Sundance when i can't catch the show on stream and radio

Simply takes the three hour show and compresses it into an hour...like doing a "cliffs notes" of the show...I think it works

Anybody else checked it out?

on the live audience, do you think Al should do a Garrison Keillor and open his show to an audience...while it wouldn't change the format of the show, it adds more. On his various trips to remote locations, the audiences seem to really have fun....just curious

Nice faux news studio... no wonder Randi Rhodes bitches about AA star power all the time. Does anyone else notice Al's jokes fall flatter on the TV than on the radio? The always annoying and tired Oy Oy Oy Show thing looks even dumber when you see them carefully reading it off a script. I always thought this weak routine was more off the cuff, but nope. The accompanying graphics remind me of public access cable. Imus on MSNBC works far better on television than Al does.

Franken's show desperately needs a live audience all the time. He does far better with instant audience feedback.

Of course, the best part about Al is when he baits O'Reilly, who is always stupid enough to find out about it and find a way to retaliate.
