Al Gardner Bio

I heard Al Gardner refer to the days when he was a cameraman for WPHL TV 17. Does anyone know when he worked at Ch. 17 and was he there when
Big Stanley Welsh and Billy Egbert were there? Also, what is Al's radio bio.
 
Prior to joining IQ, Gardner spent 15 years at the mighty WBT in Charlotte. I recall hearing that he was in another facet of broadcasting in Philadelphia before moving on to Charlotte, so perhaps he was doing camera work for Channel 17.

I've heard IQ run a liner saying he's got three brothers, including Andre at WMGK and another at KYW, in Philadelphia broadcasting, so his family roots run deep in Philly radio, to say the least.
