Al Kresta's show ends

Friday. July 12, 2024 was the last day of "Kresta In The Afternoon" from Ave Maria Radio and carried across many EWTN radio network stations. Since Al passed away, Marcus Peters has been hosting the show. Al was a voracious reader, and often talked about books, and interviewed authors on his radio show. During the final hour of this last show, Marcus took calls from listeners asking them to share what books they were introduced to by Al, and read, and any other memories they'd like to share. During the final 25, or so, minutes, there was an interview with Al's son.

Starting Monday, in the same time-slot, the show will transition into "Ave Maria In The Afternoon". Based on what Marcus said, the new show would continue the kind of program that Kresta has done for about 25 years, although they are going to add listener phone calls to the proceedings, which is something that Al rarely did.
