Al Warren Retires From WICC

After six decades of broadcasting, radio personality Al Warren hangs up the headphones next Sunday, according to this Connecticut Post article - 'Big Al' Warren gets ready to sign off

The article fails to mention that Mark Graham brought him on at WMMM after he lost his job back in the 1989 sale to M.L. Media (Post article incorrectly called it "N.L. Media"). I have an aircheck of Al doing a commercial during his time at 1260 AM on the WMMM tribute web site.

Big Al is a Connecticut radio legend, both on and off the air. He is a great professional, mentor and friend. Best of luck to Al in retirement!

Wow! One of the last of the old-style DJ's. Glad he's leaving on his own terms and while still sounding great. Good luck, Big Al!

I have listen to "BIG AL" for many years . The weekends will now be less bright. Many "happy days" BIG AL !!!!!
