Al White Dies

It took the Democrat & Chronicle a few days before reporting on the death of former Channel 13 reporter Al White. Meanwhile 13 did a nice story on Al, who started with the station the same year I started working in Rochester radio. White's investigative reporting made him one of Rochester's most recognized TV personalities. After a few years with 13, Al left for New York City to work there. He eventually left broadcasting (who hasn't?) and became a private detective before his untimely death. When I think about the number of people that started in the business the same time I did that are either no longer in broadcasting, or dead, it makes me really sad. :(
