Alabama Crimson Tide Broadcasts Returning to 95.1 FM The Fox

Alabama Crimson Tide Broadcasts Returning to 95.1
June 19th, 2013 • Related • Filed Under

We just got word that Alabama football and basketball broadcasts are returning to 95.1 this fall. Many Bama fans will welcome this news as Fusion 100.1 does not have the most reliable signal in town. You can listen to the games on 95.1, 95.1 HD1, online at wxfx and on iHeart Radio.

This info was taken from Montgomery TV and Radio.

Now I have three questions for those who can answer them.

1. Will Fuzion continue to carry the games?
2. If not, who'll become the new Bama station for the Dallas County area?
3. How much longer will Fuzion stay as they are?

We used to carry Alabama football on WCVC in Tallahassee, FL. But, being a daytimer, we would sometimes have to sign off before the game ended. And unless the game was about to end at sign off time (it ran about 5 minutes over one time when I was board-op for a game), we signed off precisely at legal sign off time.

Even so, WCVC was the Alabama affiliate for a number of years before we mutually decided to pull the plug.

We just got word that Alabama football and basketball broadcasts are returning to 95.1 this fall.  Fuzion 100.1 and 95.1 will actually share the broadcast.  This means a wider coverage area for the river region.   Also, baseball and women’s basketball will air on WLWI-AM 1440 and occasionally on Fusion 100.1.

This info is also taken from Montgomery TV and Radio.

Two of my questions has been answered.

Glad that Fuzion will continue to air the games for Dallas County.

WHBB 1490 AM is our Auburn station.

Far as I can tell, Troy no longer has a radio home here.

Hope this helps.
