From today's Boston Globe - Alan Dary, Boston radio and tv personality passed away at age 89 on October 2, 2009.

News like this makes me feel very old. Doesn't seem that long ago that I listened to Carl DeSuze, Alan Dary, Bill Marlowe and Norm Prescott on WBZ. I also remember Alan hosting "Boston Movie Time" weekday afternoons on WBZ-TV. And wasn't it Alan's sport car that fell victim (literally) to the old TV tower that fell on it at the Soldiers Field Road studios during a hurricane in the 50's? RIP Alan. You helped make radio entertaining back then.

Sad to hear this news. R.I.P. Alan Dary :(

Last I heard he was working up in New Hampshire after leaving WXKS-AM "The Music of Your Life", where he did the midday shift in the 1980's.
Anyone know where he worked last?

In the picture of the demise of the WBZ-TV tower it was a 1953 or 54 Chevy, worked with
Alan Dary at WXKS...a true gentleman.
