Alan Gionet Back on CBS 4 Denver

Banned
Hi everyone:

Just saw him on the Halftime Update during the Broncos-Chiefs game.

You may remember him from his earlier days when he was also at CBS 4. When he left, he was rumored to be headed for rival 9NEWS (KUSA 9), but Gannett sent him to Jacksonville instead where he worked at NBC affiliate WTLV 12 and sister ABC 17.

Me wonders what will happen with Jim Benemann.....

Cheers :D

Pat

His names rings a bell and and the News 4 website says he first started their in 1994, but for the life of me I don't remember him from when I worked in advertising at the station at the same time. I even checked my farewell photo album of the anchors pictures and autographs I recieved on my last day their at the station, and he's not in it. Hmph! How dare he not sign it! ;D Just kidding, it's been 11 years since I left.

However, I'm happy to see Kathy Walsh is still with the station as I always adored her. The only other folks at Ch.4 I recognize are Benemann, Ed Greene, Suzanne McCarroll and Greg Moody.

I think Doug Whitehead looks a lot like the legendary Bob Palmer. Pat, whatever happened to Bill Stuart and Larry Green? How about Aimee Spoorer?

Pat,

You just noticed now that Gionet is back on KCNC? He's been back on CBS4 since Late May/Early June. I wouldn't worry about Benemann he's just been on vacation and Gionet has been filling in for him. Gionet just does weekends and fill-in's with some reporting duties.

Genius, both Bill Stuart and Larry Green have retired. Bill Stuart a while ago and that's when Jim Benemann came to fill his place and Larry Green just this last May. Both Stuart & Green have retired in Georgia.

Well he's sure kept himself well hidden then...

Ohh...Okay. Yeah that's possible.

Bill Stuart has RETIRED??? Boy I knew there was some "competition" (Perhaps for lack of a better word) between him and Jim Benemann, but I had NO idea he was getting ready for retirement.

Wow.

I wonder how it is Gionet's return & Stuart's retirement went unnoticed by this board??? I would've thought SOMEBODY would've mentioned those events (Particularly Stuarts retirement since he was the successor to Bob Palmer when he retired several years ago).

Cheers :D
