KIRO-AM's alan prell enjoys the dubious distinction of being the worst, most putrid talk show host in the entire history of Seattle talk radio.

He could make it if he didn't stray so much into immaturity, triviality, silly digressions, and, frankly, poor topic picks.

Some of his writing is good too "The department of Homeland Stupidity."

I've heard him do interviews on KIRO and hold the person's feet to the fire, nicely.

But, not lately. I think he's gotten lazy. And, as you can tell from the callers, he skews old.

He has the intellect, but not the discipline.

I predict he'll be bounced off KIRO before Thanksgiving....
..and DAVE ROSS will return to mornings - Ventrella will do afternoons...

I heard Prell say last week that he was already #1 in one county. Not sure which one.

And Dori said he was the #1 talk show in Seattle.

Can that be?

Prell claimed he's #1 in Island County. As we all know, one can break down a book any way one would like to make one #1 some where, some time in some demo (men 61-64 and a half in Island County??). BTW, give Prell a break. His topics are a bit offbeat and not always well thought out or prepped at times, but you have to admit, you've smiled once or twice at one of his self deprecating remarks. As far as Dori, word has it Noon-3P on KIRO is like #15 or #16, 35+ in the market. #1 "talk" show? I don't think so!

If we're looking at Ratings, Lou Pate has the number one talk show.

He get's 8.0's and above...
