Albany NY gets a new "Edge"

104.9-WZMR flipped to an Active/Aternative Rock format overnight. WZMR is apparently attempting to replace the previous "Edge"-WQBK, which flipped to Classic Rock, after the departure of Howard Stern, in December. WQBK had been a modern Edge station, for nearly eleven years. This gives the Albany market, its third Modern Rock station. WZMR will be competing with Modern Rockers 103.1-WHRL
and 102.7-WEQX.
