Albany Radio in 2012?

I know I'm four months too early, but let's throw in late 2011 as well...

- Might Star 101.3 or B95.5 go Christmas for the first time in 2011? I especially wonder why The River hasn't tried all-Christmas with its 50kW signal...
- Who might buy AM 1460 WDDY? I'd bet it'll be an ethnic or religious broadcaster (could Crawford see an opportunity in AM 1460, perhaps?) when/if ABC sells WDDY, or perhaps Vandenburgh or Paul Lotters could use an extra signal? Maybe Anastos buys 1460?
- What about Clear Channel? Does Kiss FM stay as-is or does it tweak/rebrand to something like "Radio Now 102.3" or "Mix 102.3" (wouldn't go with "Channel 102.3" due to the now-defunct WHRL ;))? WTRY also continues to survive even with WPTR-FM around and still growing
- What format does the Bridge change to, or does it simulcast WKBE again? 100.9 should try Classic Rock; will it beat PYX, no but you'll probably take about 2, maybe 2.5 points away if programmed well
- Will Crush FM survive? Although it has shown a very high number in spring, it dropped by half the next book... I'd think if they tweaked to a Rhythmic/Urban direction they'd bite into Jamz pretty well
- Cat Country is still growing but how far will it go? Interestingly, WGNA is maintaining its lead, but not as much as it was back before 104.9 flipped...
- Will WVCR or WRPI end up the buyout target of a public radio outfit? I've been following the trend of NPR outlets buying college stations (Rice University, Duquesne, Vanderbilt, among others), will it end up here?

Anything else I missed? I'm not expecting any major changes in 2012...

NPR has been buying up good signaled college stations...to be sure. Hopefully that won't be the fate of WRPI...which is almost a heritage station in its own right in this market....In fact...they were the first FM station in this market to program Progressive Rock on a full time basis.....long before QBK , PYX or EQX even existed....
