103.1 signed on in September, 1966, as WHRL. 95.5-WROW-FM signed on in October, 1966.1600-WXKW's studios burned to the ground in late May, 1966, at which time it left the air. I've heard reports that it briefly returned to the air, in 1967, from its transmitter site, but I never heard it again.
