What was the name of this thread again?Of course we'll need some deep Andy Williams (like "Little Altar Boy"), Steve and Edie, Tony Bennett, The COTB, and Mitch Miller, of course ;D. And I would be remiss if I did not mention James Last. Oh well, I guess it's time to dig up and dust off the Christmas collection.
And for all you "beautiful music" fans...here a complete listing of the music heard on the WPIX Yule Log program..
I made a checklist last year...and "the .wav" played all of these greats plus much more!!!
Can't wait!!

Thanks for posting this, dude! I LOVE how they have added the original LP album art! BTW, all of the cuts you will hear from Andre Kostelanetz' "Wonderland of Christmas," The Living Strings' "The Spirit of Christmas," and "The David Rose Christmas Album" (3 of the greatest "Beautiful Music" Christmas albums ever made) were in fact, needle-dropped from the original LPs which I own. Inexplicably, they have never been released on CD. Fortunately, Percy Faith's offerings have (with the exception of his 1958 classic "Hallelujah"--which I also own but the cuts were thankfully released on CD as part of "The Music of Christmas Volume 2," which is now OOP and quite costly if you can find it). Thankfully, Eugene Ormandy's stuff was made available on CD a couple of decades ago, but there is so much great stuff that hasn't been. Fortunately, I have been able to score some pristine LPs of this classic holiday music over the last 25 years or so, and needle-dropped all of it.
