Definitely agreed, and he should be held responsible, along with GCN for doing nothing to rein him in.
Additional note: I was thinking about Jones when I first posted but the other nutjob should be held responsible as well.

Owen Shroyer calling for a former president to be assassinated. 1 yes its a threat and a crime that should be investigated. 2. You think Alex Jones and his crew would do anything avoid getting sued again for their rants.
Note this is not Owen Shroyers first controversy working for Alex Jones. In another case Owen Shroyer was being accused of scaring the general public away from vaccines and giving health advice when he is not a doctor or a CDC official.

And he does interviews himself on ABC last week, and he'll be on Meet The Press this week. He has the home number of the Washington Post's White House reporter, and calls him on and off the record. How much more coverage do you want? The media is being played by someone who has played the media for 40 years. He is a professional media manipulator. And he gets 100% coverage of every single thing he does. He has never in his life received as much attention as he gets now.

With regards to the Sandy Hook story, no one is disputing their reporting except AJ and his group.
Because their presentation is dull. It was dull and their ratings were bad long before Trump. This is not a recent issue for them.

Owen Shroyer apparently didn't learn from Hal Turner's experience. Hal, a former FBI agent, served 3 years in the clink for calling for federal judges to be shot. At that time he was only on one SW station.

Perhaps you only tune in for entertainment. But there are people who listen to Alex Jones and buy into everything he says, and in a lot of cases act on it like in harassing the Sandy Hook parents. Jones can and should be held responsible, along with GCN for doing nothing to rein him in.
There's a level of responsibility that goes with being in the media that most people learn at some point. When you think back to the "shock jock" era, whether its Howard Stern or Bubba the Love Sponge or even Imus in his younger days, they would pull stunts that would cross the line, and get reined in by someone. For Stern it was the FCC. Now Stern knows where that line is, and he still flirts with it, but knows not to cross it, for the reason you mentioned. There are people who will take what you do seriously. And don't confuse this with conservative talk or political talk because they use a few key names. It's not in the same category as discussing political ideologies. And even when someone like Limbaugh crosses the line, he gets reined in.

That occurred in Washington. I never heard him on the Washington station. I listened to the Jacksonville station in Charleston. Not surprised that happened. He used coded references that were racial on the Jacksonville station.
