Alex Jones Show

Dont know who that is but here is the listing from WTANs website:

9 — 10 am … The Alex Jones Show sponsored by The Red Pill Radio (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)

Next question is what the hell is The Red Pill Radio?? Their website is a little bit scary.
 
I heard the show once in Upstate NY. He had a guest on and they were discussing their belief that 9/11 was staged by the CIA.

Draw your own conclusions from there.....
 
And we have Glenn Beck egging on the the people who believe in "Death Panels". Except he isn't on 1340. Too bad

It's hard for her to comment on anything that doesn't pertain to Marvelous Marvin, sooooo...

But anyway, Alex Jones is quite an entertaining listen, even if you're not into the whole anti-government/conspiracy theorist thing. In fact, it's been pointed out to me, that his voice bears a striking resemblance to that of the late Dick Norman. Listen to the two side by side!

I still don't understand why ANYONE buys time on 1340. I live in central Pinellas county and I can't even pick them up with my longwire antenna.
 
Nothing about radio. It was about preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the prison system. From 2003 to 2008 I had a real job on a CSAT grant and I was on WTAN and WRXB. I'm not a complete OMG----airhead.

Don't be knocking the Tan-Talk Network ;) The word network implies the same material running at the same time. On WDCF I hear Gospel, on WZHR I hear? Dead Air, on WTAN I hear Alex Jones. Now that's what I call a network!

You seem like a nice person and a big radio fan, however, it isn't political. If Beck's numbers were not good, he would not be on the air. Pure and simple. Radio is a business and if playing oboes and flutes brought in listeners and revenue, you would hear a ton of oboes and flutes whether you like it or not. On the other hand there are time brokered stations like TAN that sell chunks of time to folks who use that time to promote their particular agenda. It's more of an ego thing than a ratings builder.
 
Yeah but Frank..Alex Jones is always right and he never lies. And Tampa Bay always has quality programming as is evidence by Bob Snyder, and Richard Shanks. Alex really sounds cool on shortwave late at night! It's a good show..and Dave and Lola know what people like. I'll hang up and listen.
