Alexandria ratings no longer embargoed!

For those trying to get ideas on the Central part of the state, Alexandria has been embargoed since roughly 2005 and just released Spring numbers for 2008

Big Surprise is Kiss is no longer number 1 (this book but was reportedly #1 for Winter)
After that...Basically duke out between Country stations Opus' KLAA (Louisiana Country 103.5) and CenLa's KRRV (100.3 KRRV)

Please discuss

RFLA

What I don't like about the market, is it's the only one in the entire state not playing new rock at all.

We have the three urbans, two new country (you will see that in every market in Louisiana except New Orleans), a classic country, news/talk, oldies, a hot a/c .. but I can't understand why two classic rockers.. espcially when KZMZ had a great new and classic rotation going about 4 years ago... now we got locally programmed classic rock vs sat fed classic rock..woo hoo ::)

The songs I hadn't heard in a while makes me listen but it gets boring after a point... hate to say it but I listen to KZMZ only for a syndicaded show that they didn't even air this past sunday

Figured someone would have put new rock up there by now

I thought I heard that there was a new alternative station that flipped in the last couple of weeks. It was an Opus station, but I don't remember the calls or frequency.

Must have flipped it within last week or two as I was up there 3 weeks ago and it was still classic rock... and station websites still showed it as classic rock.... But I do know a lot of people who will be listening now

(Looked at the myspace and twitter pages and with no comments before last week, looks like it flipped last week)

Thanks for the heads up Fieldtech1 and nolaradiobuff

First review of the station by Edison Media Research

http://www.infinitedial.com/2008/08/first_listen_red_1043.php

Got a chance to listen to an early stretch of Harve Alan's new project, Opus Media's KEZP Alexandria, La., which just flipped from Classic Rock to a very hit-driven Alternative as Red 104.3

And found it was officially launched July 31st at 3pm as per the blog from Harve Alan himself

http://harvealan.blogspot.com/search/label/red 1043

And for anyone interested, found earlier today that the Arbitron's for Alexandria had been embargoed since the Spring 2005 book meaning 3 years of embargos.
