Alice changes

Big changes at Alice this week... Rich Stevens demoted to executive producer of the morning show, George McFly upped to nights, new girl Sam Hill in middays... thoughts?

Inevitable changes, really. Charese Fruge is just flushing out BJ's buddies.

I would imagine that the horrible morning show is next. Might not be next week or next month, but they'll likely be dismissed within the next 12 months.

That said, I can hear Shea staying, but the rest is just awful.

WOW, I wonder when RIck Stevens left or got canned?
Anyways, she is quite cute to take over his slot and show.. I shall have to take a listen to see how well she does!
And put what in the Morning show's place? Satallite morning show?

Rich Stevens was "promoted" to morning show producer a couple of weeks ago (read: Fruge had pity on him, gave him a full-time job without being a full-time mouth).

Put Slacker & Bo in the morning, get someone in the afternoon to play more than six records an hour.

If the recent numbers are correct, then the alice morning show may be around longer than you're predicting. Rumor is for April they were #3 rank P18-34, in May #2 cume P18-34.. that means their female numbers must be huge. Arbitron will decide this one eventually.

So do people listen in the morning and afternoon's only then? Did the numbers support dropping Rich in Mids and Bringing McFly back?

New PD's want their own people.. Middays were top 10 P18-34 in the winter 05
and had good trends moving into the spring. But Charese (new PD)wanted a new apd/md.. it's that simple..
From a good source wihtin the entercom building, BJ had the option of going back on air or stay as the OM.. He was part of a syndicated #1 morning show in Tampa (MJ and BJ morning show) prior to coming to Denver. He also served as National Director of TOP40 for CC for 5 Years while doing the morning show!!!! I know because I worked for him )..
As for nights, Chuck Nasty being out was in the works before the new PD ever got there. Besides nights in Adult radio is non-exsistant.. ALICE, MIX, Jack, BCO, they all have horrible number in that day-part.. BJ had also hired George McFly in 04',then he went on a sabatical for 10 months. (In fact, bj and george did a few morning shows together last summer while the Greg Thunder show was on vacation. They're good friends).

Which means little. If you truly worked for him, you know of the personal issues BJ had that directly affected his work. I certainly hope he doesn't have those issues anymore. But if he was so grand at a huge company like Clear Channel, they would have made space for him at another CC outlet. It says a lot that he's not there anymore.

Possible, given McFly's circumstances.

Besides nights in Adult

True. Many stations couldn't care less about numbers outside of 6a-6p (except KOSI). But then again, Jack has horrible numbers in almost every daypart.

Heh...had to chuckle at "sabbatical." The truth is that "sabbatical" was an involuntary one, as McFly was a guest at the Graybar Hotel during that time.

I was thinking the same thing. Good to see that some people know what's up. George is a good guy, he just lets his "habbits" dictate his actions. He needs to put the bottle down and focus on his job. When he's "on" he's still one of the best in the game. With Thunder gone (as much as I liked Greg and have been friends with him over the years) he (George) should be better off. George really seemed to "fall off" when they lived together. Greg has/had the same prolem George does/did but he knew how to control it.
