Alice Cooper Radio

I was catching up with Inqlings from the past week or so and I read that WMGK will be running Alice Cooper's syndicated radio show on weeknights beginning in March, at 10:00. With the Dee Snider radio that kind of fumbled at MMR I find it strange that Greater Media wants to try this again, although, Alice Cooper SHOULD be a little more interesting to listen to than Dee Snider was. Any thoughts or comments?

I was curious about this myself. Why is Greater Media doing this? Does the kind of music that Cooper plays fit with the rest of MGK's playlist? Is the station tweaking the music in general, going for a more harder sound? Or is this strictly a cost-cutting measure? I didn't even know Cooper's show was five nights a week until MGK announced the addition.

The 10 PM to 1 AM clearance (I think the show is actually provided 7 pm to midnight) looks like a pre-emptive strike against someone else (the Hawk) taking the show in the market.
Notice no one gets let go. They just shorten the evening and overnight slots to make room for this show.
Either that or, they really want the show at one of their other classic rock/hits stations in another market, and a condition was also clearing it in Philly.
