Alice Cooper?

HOLY CRAP!!! BEARD not on nights and replaced with cooper!!!!!! Steve do you know what is going on??? I got to work with Beard very brief and I mean very brief when he worked for WPUB!!! Really cool guy from what I remember and lots of stories he could tell... CC1
 
Beard was involuntarily moved to the hourly overnight position from his former Full Time salaried Nights position. Presumably because of budget cuts.
 
yes, gang...i was downsized. management decided it was easier to pay alice cooper--no insurance, no vacation, no sick leave, and no days off. typical downsizing. just put the old rockers out to pasture. and the audience is left to wonder...

every job i've ever had in radio seems i was fired for something. but not this time. i was downsized, and that's a whole different ballgame.

i guess alice is here to stay. haven't seen any numbers yet or heard much from listeners. i have heard from my audience. they not nuts about this. (neither am i, but what can you do and where can you go?)
 
Hey WeirdBeird, it's not the same not hearing your distinct voice anymore at night! Inner City is making a huge mistake. I hope someone else starts up a classic hits or another rocker and contact you! You deserve MUCH better than this. Thanks for posting here, hope something better comes for you.

I( was downsized once. I was the ONLY employee at a full time AM station running a mainly automated news/information format. I did everything there, but they fired me... cuse they wanted to save money.

maybe a call to 93.9? maybe it's time for them to really make a move. seems like your name recognition could buy you a salaried position with them....just a thought.
 
Hey gang just dropping in as the remodeling continues... ICCB dropping Beard for Cooper is crazy... Beard is a legend and I say let him do his thing... Or we all could buy WCAM in Camden and turn it back into 16 rock and let Beard give'em hell... Although it was only a few weeks of working at PUB mostly board oping Nascar races at that time Beard you are an awesome jock and if ICCB wants you over nights I say it is time for Harold Miller to step up to the plate and let you do what you do best...
