Alison Rodriguez Leaves ABC15...again!

Multiple sources are reporting that Alison Rodriguez has left ABC15 again. After working at ABC15 from 2013-2019, she left for a year and retruned in 2020. She had been the co-anchor of ABC15 Mornings on CW61 from 7am-9am. She is apparently staying in Arizona, but no word yet on her next chapter.

As I was checking the ABC15.com bios page, I also noticed that Marc Thompson, formerly a weekend morning co-anchor, has also left.ABC15.

Marc Thompson left, I believe his last day was Superbowl Sunday. I watch ABC15 5AM weekends then switch to GMAZ at 6. I missed his announcement. Nohelani Graf talked about it on the following Saturday, saying the Marc is no longer doing weekend, but didn't elaborate.

Yes, that is surprising. However, I think she returned to the Valley after only six months in California-- if memory serves.

Without question, Allison is/was one of the best anchors of the last ten years in the Phoenix area. I wonder if the split was "amicable"?

I also wonder what her good friend Nick Ciletti has to say about it.

Interestingly, the 7:00 a.m. morning newscast on CW61 is no longer on-air. It looks like they just went with the ABC15 morning program from 4:30-7:00 a.m. simultaneously on 61.

That's likely why Allison left Scripps. They were planning to axe the 61 broadcast (with co-anchor Justin Pazera)--- and they did. In short order, there was nowhere for her to go as long as Kaley O' Kelly remained with 15.

If nothing else, at least her "journey" is only a six-mile drive west of her "old" station. But I digress.

Yeah, I noticed yesterday when I went to tune into ABC15 News on CW61 and found a judge show instead. Good for Allison! She's really doing a solid job on 12 News Today in AZ and has done some quality reporting. I hope 12 gives her time to continue the reporting.

Meanwhile, I tried to watch 12 News at 1pm yesterday and it wasn't on. They had a black screen for a couple of minutes, then ran commercials, and finally started Daily Blast Live. 12 must have had some technical problems.
