All Access Reports Stern has been suspended

Stern gets an unscheduled day off

A "Google News" search turned up several citations for this. Apparently Infinity said he was promoting Sirius too heavily.

At this time it's just a one-day suspension, with a "best of Howard" planned for Tuesday.

Rather than suspend him, WITH PAY, they should have just charged Hoo Hoo the cost of a live read on his flagship station everytime the words Sirius or satellite radio came out of his mouth, in a promotional context. Then we would see how anxious Hoo Hoo would be to bring up his future employer. As far as I'm concerned, the last 13 months has been free advertising for Sirius to 12 million potential listener's.

Didn't we learn anything from Private Parts? Stern loves to do this kind of crap. If he were charged(which I think is an awesome idea by the way!) he'd probably see it as well worth it because he got away with it.

I always thought that when he first announced his move to Sirus(too bad he can't claim to be the first or the pioneer) that Infinity show have taken the bullet and just let him sit for a year. The worst thing you can do to a DJ is taken them out of thier element. Sure, everyone would have been talking about it initally but then the silence will come.

Just my babblin 2 cents. :)

I know some may be PO'd by my opinion, but I can't resist... Howard Stern taking off a sick day is an oxymoron.

Bottom line: Howard Stern is done! I like the billing idea as that's what Citadel did, then dropped him. Perfect. Sirius will have one helluva time making back his $100m/year salary...
