All Christmas coming to Huntsville as usual

As they do traditionally every year, Lite 96.9 will be all Christmas again this season. It begins Thanksgiving Day. I'm glad there's at least one station that waits until an appropriate time instead of flipping right after Halloween. I'm also glad we will still have another A/C outlet at Star 99.1 to go to because I'm not a big fan of non stop Christmas music every day. I think that is what Easy 97.3 is banking on in Birmingham too. Not a bad idea to try to get a decent start up. I wonder if Journey 93.3 will also do all Christmas music again this year. If I remember correctly, they didn't really take any of the Christmas music lovers away from Lite 96.9 last year like they wanted to. If they do it again this year, maybe this time it will be followed up with a format change to something that makes more sense. We've got plenty of 80's and 90's music here. Clearly there isn't room for any more. I still think moving news/talk WVNN-FM to 93.3 would be a very smart move. Then classic country maybe on 92.5? Either way, surely Journey can't last much longer as is.

Completely agree with the idea of moving WVNN to 93.3. Their signal on 92.5 is just awful in Huntsville. Glad to know Star 99.1 will stay with their standard fare through the holidays but I do have to give credit to Lite 96.9 for mixing it up a little bit and playing some newer covers of the Christmas classics.

Yea that is definitely an improvement over the same classics they play over & over every year. There has been lots of new Christmas songs from great artists over the past several years. I'm interested to see what new one 96.9 will pull out of their bag & spin. Agreed on WVNN-FM as well. It's just awful in Huntsville. I can't believe the decision to move it to 93.3 hasn't been done long before now. It's such a no brainer to me, but this is Cumulus we are talking about so there you go.
