Okay, I have nothing good to say about Mannheim Steamroller. Yesterday Jeff Rollins, who returned from vacation to be with us on the big day, played "Hallelujah Chorus" and commented on how it still retains its essential flavor or whatever he said after they got hold of it. Or got their hands on it. Whatever, that's what they did, and they shouldn't have been allowed to. And Mr. Rollins praises this garbage. "Carol of the Bells" by David Foster too. The music got better when Lou Simon took over (Mr. Rollins certainly didn't give us a warm profound goodbye). I still don't like "It Must Have Been the Mistletoe" by Barbara Mandrell. I don't care for her touchy-feely pop music to begin with.
 
Oh, yeah. Proof that Jeff Rollins was indeed there:

James Brown's last words: "I don't FEE-EL good".

Also from yesterday--Frosty came to life one day. Scientists still don't know why.

She is just filling in for him (so they say) Timeless Classics was playing a great mix of nostaglia music, now they have returned to thier "tweeked" format again, going lighter and lighter. Seems like the unforgettable sound of the 40's 50's and 60's is being blended out along with Joe lacena and Eddie Hubbard. They are not going to attract new listeners,and will only annoy and loose thier loyal following.

Bud is back. I heard him today. Not that the music is any better, but when I can I'm on Dial Global. I'm getting lots of interference from other stations even at midday, though. Good news, sort of: Worthless Classics played "Three O'Clock in the Morning" by Bert Kaempfert. Because they needed an instrumental they could cut short at the top of the hour. :mad:
