All Local CBS Stations Are Off Tunein Radio

I liked to hear KYW, WPHT, WIP & local CBS owned stations on Tunein radio, but all CBS stations have been removed from the site as of yesterday.

There's a thread on the Radio & the Internet board concerning this.

And it's true, at least for Roku and Android (haven't tried anything else). SeeBS wants you to access their content on their web and phone apps excusively. That's all well and good (it's their content and they have the right to present it as they see fit), but the Android app is unstable to say the least. Not a good move for them unless they fix their apps.

It's true in iOS, too. And not just the local stations. Every CBS station in the country, including HD multicast stations.

It sucks. TuneIn is the best way to enjoy radio. Of course, the reason I say that is because it lets me fast forward through commercials, which is, I'm quite sure, why they yanked it.

Get the ooTunes app, which has all the Clear Channel and CBS stations included in its list.

TuneIn's "local radio" feature was great, since it showed a list of all local stations, including HD and Internet stations, as well as what was playing. It is what HD radio should have been.

Probably not for much longer if anyone from CBS or Clear Channel is reading this board, unless it interfaces directly with the Radio.com and iHeartRadio apps.

I found this out the other day. I think it is because CBS has there own APP its free in the Android market its called Radio.com. I am not sure why they have it in the market as .com lol but if you put in Radio.com in the Android market it will come up it has all CBS Radio station on it..
