All News 106.7 The Grand Tour

Or it could be preparing for the roll out of the national all-news format. No dial location if it's airing on multiple frequencies in multiple markets.

Has anyone noticed the slight changes in the imaging?

BEFORE: All News One Oh Six Point Seven time 12:32.
NOW: All News time 12:32.

Funny you should mention that. ARI picked up on something along those lines, and thinks that a frequency change may still be under consideration.

I just checked and Cumulus has all of the Atlanta frequencies they own paired with the All News slogan for domains. Here they are:

www.allnews989.com
www.allnews997.com
www.allnews1005.com
www.allnews1015.com
www.allnews1067.com

The missing domain is for 97.9. All of the domains forward to the main www.allnews1067.com. So, they are prepared for any frequency shuffling they might want to do in this market.

100.5 has a lot of folks in it's 60 db coverage:

A lot of 106.7's signal (a full C) is in less populated areas due to the city of license Gainsville:

https://maps.google.com/?q=http://t...06.7&contour=60&city=GAINESVILLE&state=GA.kml

I do not have the the numbers but I would bet 100.5 has more folks in the 60 DB than even 95.5:

IMHO The Regular Guys listeners would follow them to 106.7.

BTW: Cumulus at one time had filed to Swap 106.5 Chattanooga and 106.7 to allow WYAY go to an in town antenna. I am really surprised they did not do it.

The proposed move seemed to be a win-win for all stations involved. I wonder why the applications were withdrawn?
For some reason I seem to remember that that was during the Citadel days and the issue was $$$.

That was done about 2 months before the launch. What happened was Lance Venta of Radio Insight saw the 106.7 domain and wrote Cumulus was about to turn the station to news. In the next day or 2, Cumulus reserved all those other domains, apparently to try to throw everyone off.
