September was a fairly good month for the All-News format, at least for most veteran stations in the format. KCBS San Francisco held on to the #1 spot. WBBM Chicago and WTOP Washington finished at #2. And New York once again has two All-News station in the top 10, with WCBS and WINS trading places at #8 and #9. But the newer stations in the format didn't get much traction: KROI Houston, WNEW-FM Washington and WYAY Atlanta.
