All-News radio Feed from Iheartradio

I doubt this would work in the big cities simply because the top market DMA all-news stations like WCBS/KCBS/WTOP/WBBM/WINS/KYW/WBZ the audience would demand local content. This is supposed to be a competing all-news radio network from America's radio news from TRN Inc. Well this could work in areas where ARNN does not have an affiliate yet or when Rush, Hannity or Beck retires or get fired at some point.

24/7 News could work in markets that do not have full-time news stations. That would include just about any growth market in the Sun Belt and smaller markets. 24/7 News would fit well on Sirius/XM, IMHO.

I agree this wouldn't work in major markets with long-established all-news stations (WINS, WCBS, WTOP, WBBM, KCBS, KNX, KYW). :)

This could be a future program platform for a lot of Clear Channel's talkers in cities below the top 10 markets, especially those which are suffering a little ratings anemia. Their most successful talkers like KFI in LA, WTAM in Cleveland and WLW in Cincinatti will probably remain as-is, heavily local in content, because that's how they build their cume and make money. Expect other news-talkers in their portfolio, however, to start making a channel like this a centerpiece of their programming especially outside morning drive or Rush's daypart (since they are going all-in with him). It wouldn't totally shock me to see WOR programmed partially this way, and partially with the syndicated acts they're pushing most aggressively...leaving only John Gambling left as a significant local presence.

How about Clear Channel owned KFBK Sacramento I seen the books and its in the top 10 in the Sacramento Market mainly because Rush was a former host in Sacramento and that they have local Sacramento News during drive time. I could See KSTE the other CC talk station in Sacramento airing News 24/7 network during Drive time while Savage is away.

This reminds me a lot of the old rebroadcast of CNN Headline News on radio from 20 years ago. For better or for worse.

@Bob1370: It wouldn't shock me if what is currently being offered by "24/7 News" ends up on WOR at the top of the hour (there's been talk of CC organizing their own news network to displace Fox News Radio)...
