All-News Scoreboard for Major Markets: October 2015

Summer listening patterns (more music, less news) were over by this rating period, which goes from September to October. That helped several All-News stations as the kids got back to school and adults got back to work. WBBM Chicago, KCBS San Francisco and WTOP Washington were at #1. KYW Philadelphia and WWJ Detroit were at #4 and WBZ Boston was #5. KNX Los Angeles jumped from #14 in August to #7. WINS and WCBS New York inched closer to the top 10.

1. New York...WINS #11 ... WCBS #13
2. Los Angeles...KNX #7
3. Chicago...WBBM/WCFS(FM) #1 (WBBM 780 #1 + WCFS 105.9 #19)
4. San Francisco...KCBS/KFRC(FM) #1
5. Dallas...KRLD* #23 tie
6. Houston...No All-News station
7. Washington...WTOP(FM) #1 ... WNEW-FM* #21
8. Philadelphia...KYW #4
9. Atlanta...No All-News station
10. Boston...WBZ* #5
(11. Detroit...WWJ #4)
(13. Seattle...KOMO-AM-FM #14)
(21. Baltimore...WNEW-FM* #16)
(25. Pittsburgh...KQV* does not subscribe)

* part-time All-News station

All stations are owned by CBS except WTOP (Hubbard), KOMO (Sinclair) and KQV (Calvary). In parenthesis, I include the ratings for the four large markets with All-News stations outside the top 10 markets.
