All Night With Joey Reynolds

I watched Joey's new TV show last night for the first time. I enjoyed Joey on WOR but the TV show has "disaster" written all over it. It looks low budget, the camera work is bad, the lighting is bad, and Joey, who is getting along in years, looks bad.

There is no audience...You have a "late night TV style announcer" who does the usual "Here's Joey!" sort of thing and NO applause. Performers sing their song.....no applause. Last night's singer was badly miked and it sounded pretty bad. The guys has a great voice but the audio di him n justice.

I was embarassed for Joey just to be watching. Perhaps better lighting and camera work can make Joey look less careworn, but the production value falls flat.

I'm sorry to pan this. I like Joey...I mean him no harm. But the facts are the facts. Sometimes radio shows just don't translate into TV shows. It would have been better to see Joey doing his old show from WOR on TV than this. It must be a small studio over at the NASDAQ building.

Joey sits in front of a window that looks out onto the sidewalk. It's very distracting when some jack ass wants to stand in the window and mug for the camera.

The show is taped LIVE from the Nasdaq studio in Times Square....they now have speakers outside the studio for people to listen in.
