All-PSA low power AM at 1640

As far as I can tell, the all-PSA AM 1640 that I get (just barely) where I live is in Bedford MA. I live in Arlington, just east of the Lexington line and just north of Route 2. I think I am roughly 10 to 12 miles southeast of Bedford. The signal is barely readable here, but I think the call sign contains the numbers 298. There were frequent mentions of phone numbers in the 781-275 exchange, for which a Google search came up with Lexington MA, but I heard Bedford often enough that I still think Bedford is the correct town. Bedford is adjacent to Lexington. There was also something in what must have been a legal ID that mentioned that the station was operating under authority of the FCC. Another message said that the messages being broadcast (apparently in an endless loop) had been updated on September 2. As I write this, it is 4:20PM EDT on Saturday September 4. 2010.

The text, written in 2008, mentions that AM 1640 is a "town announcements and emergency
info" station; "The radio console for the new 1640 AM radio station is held in the basement of the Council on Aging." (12 Mudge Way, nr public library, it seems)

The idea is apparently to have a place for emergency announcements, but during non-
emergency times there will be "town announcements", PSAs, etc.
 
I have picked up a Low Power AM in downtown Lynnfield before and it was on again yesterday. Driving on Summer St. to the intersection of Main St then N on Main St--it was the Tower School, with kids singing "Take Me Out to The Ballgame" off key then a woman explaining upcoming events for late May and early June ("an end of the year party, and we hope the weather will be good")--so they haven't gotten around to updating it yet. There is a sign at the church urging people to tune in to "Tower Talk" at "AM 1610" (sic). But it was on 1640.
The Peabody TIS had pretty much faded by then
