0.5 is not bad. They just made that format change a couple of months ago. I didn't expect them to do a 9.7 now

What about Entercom sell 95.7 and let Cumulus take over 95.7 for KNBR FM and 1050 should be sold or decommisioned. the KNBR brand sells better.

Here in Boston, we have 98.5 The Sports Hub. When the station flipped to sports 2 years ago, right off the bat it was successful, they even drew in a bigger audience than WEEI (AM) which has been a powerhouse here, but not anymore....maybe FM sports is the way to go now

True, but 98.5 The Sports Hub had both the Patriots and Bruins rights, as well as an established morning show in Toucher and Rich (who have since reached supernova status in the market) right at their launch.

95.7 has neither advantages, and no, Chris Townsend has nowhere near the "star power" as Toucher and Rich.

But WEEI has the Red Sox and are still losing to Sports Hub away form Football and Hockey season. Being FM has to be an advantage.

CBS Radio has a mixed bag of results as far as sports on FM goes. While Boston (WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub) & Pittsburgh (KDKA-FM 93.7 The Fan) have been successful, in Dallas (KRLD-FM 105.3 The Fan), Washington, DC (WJFK-FM 106.7 The Fan) & Baltimore (WJZ-FM 105.7 The Fan) they haven't done as well. While there's intrinsic demographic value to being on FM, it's no guarantee for success. It's the content/programming that matters.

Why would Entercom want to sell 95.7 to Cumulus? It sounds as smart as Cumulus selling KNBR to Entercom. If anything, I can see Cumulus starting their own Sports on FM, even a "KNBR-FM" to compete against 95.7.

But you are right about 1050. Hey they can always move KSFO's Conservative Talk Format to 1050? Does 1050's signal reach better than 560?
