All the "Hitch" You Could Ever Want!

Friday night I was flipping around and both TNT and TBS were showing Hitch from 8p-10:30p. I was flipping back and forth between the two, they were obviously coming from the same feed because they were perfectly lined up. Except for different on-screen bugs and different commercials they both went to break and rejoined at the same time and ran concurrently for the entire showing. Is their some method to their madness having both Turner stations show the same movie at the same time?

I don't know why it was done but I can remember once when Back to the Future was shown on both TBS and Turner Classic Movies at the same time on a Saturday afternoon. However there would have some differences in this case since the TBS version was probably edited and included commercials, while the TCM version would have been uncut and commercial free. Also since both movies ended at the same time, the TBS version probably started earlier.

Yeah. It's called the television premiere of a successful movie. It's not unheard of.
