On 830, I've also gotten a Mexicana station. Is this WFNO out of Louisana, or a daytimer? It's a one in who knows how much chance I'll get WFNO.

Maybe you're getting something from Mexico.

What time did you hear this station? It all depends if this is "critical hours" or later in the evening, or overnight. WFNO, with 750 watts at night and most of the signal directed away from WA, that would be a stretch, though 830 is a relatively clear channel. Perhaps if they were on their 5kW daytime signal by 'mistake' I have heard them occasionally on what must have been their daytime power and it was drowning out WCCO here in No. Illinois.

KOTC 10kW ND, has been reported testing in the overnight hours supposedly from their new location in or near Memphis and wikipedia has them as "Super Buena 830" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KOTC Radio-Locator.com has them as "Cotton Country" Never heard KOTC as a Mexicana station, only as a country station, so I'm not sure what to believe about wiki or r-l. I wouldn't rule out XEITE (the old XELA) on 830... it has 10kW of power (reportedly 20kW daytime) and 5kW at night, day/night ND. (there are a number of Mexican stations reportedly that don't always power down at local sunset like AM stations [usually] do in the U.S. or Canada) For some reason, the altitude (over 7000' above sea level) seems to help Mexico City stations really get out. There is also a Mexicana station near Farwell, TX 1.1 kW ND (but its TX is really W/NW of Clovis, NM) Or it could be an altogether different station.

Got it the same night I first got WBBM during a Bears game. About 8PM local time, very dark outside.
