ALL TV REPORTERS AND ANCHORS

A BIG KUDOS to those who stayed on the air for hours on end.At 10pm Saturday watching WPRI news and Susan Roberts looks exhausted with bags under eyes and I have noticed this with other stations as well....GOOD JOB! to all

I was watching WPRI's live stream on the web and noticed the same thing. They really went above and beyond this weekend.

Did anyone notice that Susan Roberts seemed to be lost at times with where exactly the live shots were? They showed a traffic cam shot, apparently not where they told her it was, and she said to Mike, "Where is this?" Mike replied that it was at Thurbers Ave. I guess that comes from being relatively new to the area.

Maria Stephanos was on for hours and hours and still looked fantastic at the end.

Primary evening anchors at 3, 30 and 61 in Hartford worked this weekend, and their stations provided hours of extended coverage.

In Portland, ME:
WGME had Saturday coverage from 4:30A-12:30P (they have no weekend morning or midday news ordinarily)
WCSH was on from 5A-1P
WMTW was on from 5A-3P and expanded their 6PM news to an hour, preempting World News

All three stations offered live streams of their Saturday coverage.

I actually could have lived without WMTW preempting World News, as ABC doesn't offer its weekend newscasts for on-demand viewing.

Come on!!!

I saw that shot and had absolutely no idea where it was either! She read my mind when she asked that question. You have never worked an around the clock emergency at a broadcast operation, that's for sure!

Actually, I have done similar work and it can get grueling at times. Under your assumption, why the heck did she assume that Mike knew? She just made herself look clueless.

REALLY, I MEAN REALLY!.............Are we desperate to put people down?.......You have never been lost in your whole life and never made a mistake on the air. This was supposed to be a positive thread. What is real name so I can look it up in dictionary and see "perfect, never made a mistake thier whole life".
