Allan Handelman back on local radio

I just heard on WSJS that Allan Handelman is coming back on the air. I couldn't tell if it was every day or just occassionally. Either way it will be good to have him back on the radio locally. I loved his shows on the old 101.1 FM.

From the WSJS FB page: "Allan will be on weekdays from 3 to 6 pm. Eugene B. Sims will serve as his producer."
Looks like he is taking over Campbell's shift. Nice...congrats Allan.

I liked Bob Campbell on-air. I thought he was the best thing the station had. He and his producer played off each other well.

I also used to listen some to Allan's show on WZTK. If Curtis is bringing him to WSJS, a FM translator must be in the works. I can't imagine Allan's off-beat topics working with a much older AM radio audience.

I can't imagine any topic working with an audience that has been rendered largely non-existent. I don't see any downside to airing handelman on that station (since the slate has been wiped clean of any listener loyalty) but does it really matter at this point? My only advice: emphasize the web stream at every available opportunity

Other than the alien stuff I really loved to listen to Handleman. He was/is a breath of fresh air to the younger demo in the area and I REALLY hope he's successful in this new gig!

He's on the 600 frequency, but they stream, so maybe he will be able to reach more people through the streaming.
It always seemed like Handelman would be helped more than any other talk host by not being constrained by terrestrial radio limits and traditions.

It would be nice if he could find a way to monetize streaming and make some kind of hybrid show work. He's always been a truly class guy as far as I've known.
