ALLAN PRELL SYNDICATION

Allan Prell formerly of the Mighty WBAL 1090......under veteran PD/news director Tom Clendening.....

there's a cool web site for Allan Prell stating that he'll be syndicated ! (last heard on KIRO/Seattle, and substituting for WW1's James Bohannon)

when will his syndication begin?

he didn't do well in seattle because cold, miserable, humorless young Seattlites standing in the rain wearing the hippest clothing from Costco all waiting for buses running late (becasue of the rain) and drinking starbucks coffee and smoking Parliaments and Camel Lights prefer the monotonous drone of NPR via two very high powered FM affiliates, and Progressive Talk on Seattle's AM 1090. Actually they don't prefer any of this, they've just been brainwashed by the constant driving rain, and by each other...everyone tries to be the hippest one at the bus stop, with spiked bleached blond hair if you're a guy, and long flowing blond hair and heavy intoxicating perfume if you're a gal. and your clothing is all black, and likely all leather. I tell you, we don't see any of this here in northern rural Arizona.

Clendening brought Allan to Seattle knowing he got great ratings at WBAL. but it's an entirely different demographic in terms of personalities, because of the W-E-A-T-H-E-R

they had no use for the incredibly talented Allan and his hilarious jokes and self-deprecation. KIRO managers could have moved him to evenings but refused. loyal fans complained bitterly to Entercom (former station owner) in essence, the stories you all here about rainy seattle are more than just folklore, they result in firings, and Allan was not the first or the last humorous host to exit the market.

anyway I just love to poke fun at seatellites I know what it's like up LOL

Here's the good news! ..

let's hope Allan will return ASAP ! :)

In October, 2008, Alan Prell will be seventy-one years old. Are you telling me, he well be as entertaining as he was back in the 1080's and 1990's? I cannot believe he still "has it".
