Allan Weiner selling his FM

Does he own that station? It WAS attached to WHOU at one point. Was that just an LMA?

And yes, the price does seem a little steep.

I wonder what the AM station is, that's for sale in "Market 101-200", for $250k which includes transmitter site.

My guess is AM 910 WAEI including their two towers & land in Brewer. Also says it's a cash deal so Blueberry must be trying to rid themselves of AM since they have plenty of FM's.

I think the land under 910 is worth more than that. BTW all the blueberry Bangor stations had some sort of meltdown late morning today. 94.5, 103.9, and 104.7 were all silent, came back, then silent for another long stretch. Seemed like automation issue as 103.9 was just raw network for a while after it came back. Not sure about 97.1 as I forgot about that one until later.

The mystery AM could be downstate somewhere. WEGP's new owner almost certainly is ready to get out by now so it could be that one incorrectly listed. The other FM, from the description, sounds a lot like Farmington.

WBCQ-FM gets into Houlton OK, but it is not listenable in Presque Isle. I would value it about $65,000. License and a little equipment. No real estate and no real revenue.

Don't think so.... And true, as special ed says, the land is worth as much as or more than $250k. and the station itself is a full market signal. If it were for sale, I would imagine BBerry would try to get at least $500k for it.

No idea of profitability, but when I was there (late 90s), WBCQ-SW was fully loaded (sign on to sign off) and he was adding more signals. IIRC, he eventually made it up to 4 sigs.
