Allen (Crash) McGee

Our friend, and uber-male partner in crime, Crash passed away approx 8:15 Christmas morning in a fire at his home in Kilgore, Tx. Many of you will probably remember him as the beer swilling, stripper loving afternoon drive jock on 100.3 The Buzzard a few years back. He was like the crazy cousin who never grew up but you loved the most and no, it wasn't an act. Rest easy, f#@kstick, we love you...

So sorry to hear about Crash. He was a good guy. Just terrible for his family.

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -
He had a voice familiar to thousands of East Texans, but fire has claimed the life of a longtime east Texas DJ.

Kilgore Fire Department investigators say 39-year old Allen McGee was sleeping at a home on Sycamore Road when it caught fire around 8:15 Sunday morning.

Investigators say crews were able to stop the flames from consuming the entire house, but McGee may have been overcome by the heat and smoke.

McGee was a longtime disc jockey for 96X the Rock of East Texas in Tyler.
