Allison Miller leaving KNXV

Allison Miller, meteorologist at ABC-15 announced today that she has taken a similar position with KEYE CBS-Austin TX

Is she weekends or mornings?

Either way, I feel "casual weather anchor" coming on for a short period.
For 15, that would be...Randy Kollins?

Maybe they could bring back Mr. Ed!

Allison was doing weekends, as they "search" for a Chief Met to replace Bill Bellis. Should it really take almost a year to find a new Chief Met in a top-15 market?

Sarah Walters is probably available on a short-term basis, unless she's taken a job elsewhere.

That's sure a downgrade, especially moving to weekends at a station soon to be owned by a notoriously cheap group. Unless her boyfriend/husband found a job in Austin, I don't see the benefit, unless if it's to be closer to family.

I could be wrong, but as far as I remember, she's only been with KNXV for about a year now.

Sarah Walter did announce that she will be "filling in" on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening shows.

Just a thought, but maybe Allison saw the writing on the wall. If KNXV is close to hiring a "chief", she would be the 4th in the lineup that really only needs three and saw an opportunity for a job that would be more permanent.

Then again, Sarah was a "chief" at one of her previous stations if I remember correctly.

IIRC, Allison was just freelancing at KNXV anyway. Sarah is more of a "known" quantity in the market, after working for 12 for several years. I would love to see Sarah as the ABC15 Chief Met -- at least she knows weather!
