Jon Scott and I started an internet radio station in August of last year. We can be found at www.AllMemphisMusic.com.

I know most of you are in radio but we can use your help. Besides playing all the heritage music from Memphis artists, Memphis labels, Memphis area artist etc, we want to expose new music.

So any of you that are friendly with any local artists, or are aware of new music by local labels, area artists, etc., please ask them to send cds to

Not Jon but I'll answer.

We do not exclude any genre, exept punk polka.

If it's a Memphis arist, music recorded at a Memphis studio, music on a Memphis label, concept albums referencing Memphis/Memphis artist [ ala Billy Burnett's current album of rockabilly version of Elvis songs ], area artists, etc., we will consider for airplay.

WE WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT.....play every piece of music we receive, but we do have a major commitment to playing artists that fit the above criteria. Jon and I will make those programming decision just like terrestial radio program directors do.

Our mission is to continue to expose the heritage music from Memphis and the area........BUT TO ALSO EXPOSE NEWER ARTIST........to the world.

It's the internet.....it's global. If you have a computer and you live on planet earth......you are a potential listener.

I'm sure Jon will chime in also. It's 6:50 in LA. My hunch is he's still asleep.

Yes we will play newer current music as well as the classics....We have listerners in over 70 countries now and the word of mouth keeps spreading about the station. As Flash said "We are dedicated to keeping the Memphis sound alive, new & old".
It's a hoot for me as being back in radio turns it full circle for me

Love new stuff..anybody heard Joanna Cotten? New Mavis Staples is one of my faves as well..I hear nothing but good things about Australian artist who recorded with Steve Cropper at Ardent. can't wait to hear.

Love the Memphis Delta stuff..any suggestions would be appreciated..
