The 38th annual Pinellas County All-Star football game, with players from 23 Pinellas County public and private high schools, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Clearwater High, 540 S. Hercules Ave., at 7 p.m. The game will feature the first-ever, live broadcast by students from the WPDS-TV14 Advanced Television Studies program and the Clearwater High Digital Media Department. The game will be broadcast live on GrandStadium.TV, a sports-based web service available to viewers worldwide.
Dave Reynolds, News Channel 8, and Bright House Sports Network’s Shane Stafford and Ted Larsen, Palm Harbor University graduate and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offensive lineman, will be the game’s guest announcers. The game will also feature interviews with Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach Raheem Morris, future Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks; and ESPN’s Erin Andrews. High school students from Dixie Hollins, Clearwater, Adam Baker-Largo and East Lake will call the action with sideline reports and manage the pregame, halftime and postgame shows.
Halftime entertainment will feature the Seminole High marching band in their first public performance since participating in the Thanksgiving Macy’s Parade.
