Alt 95.1 San Antonio?

That would be an intriguing move. Musically would they have a pop lean or a harder edge?

Is San Antonio a good fit for the “Woody Show” or a high profile morning show?

What is the ripple effect if any? Does KXTN alter their format somewhat to skew younger and not give 104.5 a clear plate?

Would KISS begin to add currents back to their playlist?

Cumulus and Univision formatically seem like unlikely partners, but Market-wise, they compliment each other pretty well.

Do you believe 107.5 is safe "if" Cumulus gets its hands on it?

Also, if 95.1 goes Alternative. I can see 94.1 leaning more Spanglish than it's current state.

I don’ t know if Cumulus presently has any Spanish language stations in their portfolio. Univision has a lot of terrific performers in both Ratings and Revenue.

I do not have access to the billing data for KTXN and how they do in their target demo’s.

An outside the box direction would be for 107.5 to go to a format more in the Latino Hits direction and possibly move the Tejano format to 1350 (if they can find an FM translator, even better). Not sure if that’s viable, but format changes take some time to regain revenue (for the most part).

No clue about 94.1, as I do not listen to that type of music. My hunch is an Alt95.1 would cause ripples (if the format has an impact) at several stations.

I bet you anything they're canceling plans since we're talking about it. LOL really though if they're not an alt station in San Antonio would be terrific.

Cumulus doesn’t do Spanish stations currently. I would be surprised to see them go down that road.

This is random but maybe KAHL can switch their network to alternative rock.

They recently got rid of The Bar in Victoria. :(

Was 97.7 rock a number of years back I was not in San Antonio at the time read about it and saw it in the ratings Hope someone will flip to ALT

On a related note, 101X has a construction permit in 2017 to move the transmitter south of Austin and increase the wattage. This would would provide a better signal for San Antonio. Anyone know the status of this?

There are a couple LPFMs on 101.5 in San Antonio, the ones downtown are lower power and already on the air sometimes.
There's another one on 101.5 too, this one in the north of town.
