Right off the top of my head I've got to go with "I Want An Alien For Christmas" by Fountains of Wayne. I also liked Pearl Jam's "Let Me Sleep"....but everyone at my station thought it was too depressing to play......whatever ;)<P ID="signature">______________

The R&R list above about covers it....I'd add:

Anything by The Yobs.
Throwing Toasters "It's Christmas Time"

Not exactly alt (but not a stretch, either):
Kinks "Father Christmas"

and on the novelty side:
Jim Nabors "Go Tell It On The Mountain" (kitsch factor)
Weird Al Yankovic "Christmas At Ground Zero"
Cheech And Chong "Santa Claus and his Old Lady"
Bob & Doug MacKenzie "12 Days Of Christmas"

...and a beer.
