Alternative Ratings Are On The Rise

So it looks like the Alternative format is back in an upswing! (thanks to a huge surge in new material, especially Indie)

KROQ/Los Angelels up 3.0-3.3
KYSR/Los Angeles up 2.5-2.6
WKQX/Chicago up 1.6-1.8
KITS/San Francisco up 1.5-1.6
KDGE/Dallas up 2.7-3.0
KTBZ/Houston up 4.8-5.8!!
WRFF/Philadelphia up 2.8-3.5!!
WWDC/Washington up 3.0-3.5
WFNX/Boston up 1.7-2.0
CIMX/Detroit up 3.4-4.0!!
XTRA/San Diego up 2.7-3.7!!
KBZT/San Diego up 2.3-2.5
WEND/Charlotte up 4.2-4.5
WKRK/Cleveland up 3.1-4.2!!
KXRK/Salt Lake City up 5.4-6.3!!

Cool thanks for the report. XETRA up big in SD, now in 7th place compared to 19th place for KBZT. Alt. rock is getting a combined 6.2 share in SD which would be good for a tie in first place when combined. The less adventurous duo of KROQ and 98.7 in LA combines for a solid 5.9, also good for first place when combined. And X96 in a tie for 2nd place overall in Salt Lake! Would love now for some of the cities without the format (San Antonio, Orlando, Miami, Minneapolis, others) to get it.

And to think a few months ago people were asking if Alternative/Indie format was dead. Heh.

WHOA!!! Huge gain for 91X!!!
Who knows what could be the cause??
Maybe it'll bring back Music in the Mornings over to FM 94/9 to replace the Jesus in the Morning Show!
