yes they do, but they also play the same songs every hour... because the lemming s want to hear the same songs every hour. thats how you get ratings. sad truth. try to be "cool " and play stuff no ones heard of, you will have no listeners.. i.e KWOD
 
That's why radio programming is a skill not a formula. Finding the balance of new music to progress the medium and the familiar to satisfy the masses. Recurrent radio is lazy and, in my opinion, destructive and, ultimately, unsuccessful.
