Alvin "Big Al" Sams dead at 55

This one hits hard. "Big Al" was one of the first people I met in Sacramento. He was doing mornings at V-101 (KHYL) when I arrived at KFBK in November of 2013. He and I were let go the same day, during the 1,500-person layoffs in January of 2020.

Deeply talented, always positive---Al was a major source of joy and good energy. RIP, Al.
