Wow I get the first post on the new Alabama board

Was on the road Wednesday. Scanned the AM dial and (WDXZ) AM 1000 Robertsdale was stunting. Playing sports themes.

Sports programming is the station's new format.

21st Century is selling the station for $65,000 to Tri-City Radio, which owns WPMO 1580 in Moss Point and runs WVGG in Lucedale. Hence the format flip. From the little bit I listened, it seems to be CBS Sports.

11 AM - 2 PM CBS Sports - "The John Feinstein Show"
2 PM - 4 PM - Southern Sports Tonight - All about the SEC & more
4 PM - 8 PM NBC Sports - "Under Center with McNabb & Malone"

I believe the current owner is Gulf Coast Broadcasting and they are selling the station. The deal with 21st Century never actually went thru. They filed a notice of non-consummation
